About Udumalpet

Udumalpet is also known as Udumali and udumalaipettai is a town and a municipality in Tirupur district, Indian state of Tamil Nadu,surrounded by Western ghats on three sides. The town is very famous for its climate which is neither cold nor very hot. so it is called Poor Man's Ooty. The city was previously under Coimbatore district but was moved under the newly formed Tirupur district in October 2008.
